guidelines:

We are currently operating under the updated Phase 2 Guidelines in accordance with State of Washington mandates.

INDOOR SEATING CAPACITY

We are allowed 25% capacity for dine-in guests at The Coug. This is less than 30 people.

Inside we have 5 tables available for 5 groups of people. Groups are limited to 6 people. You cannot stand alone or stand in a group away from your table. You cannot join another group other than your own for any period of time.

OUTDOOR TERRACE CAPACITY

The terrace is considered separate from inside the building. We have removed 2 tables and most outdoor seating to accommodate our limited capacity expectations.

Outside on the terrace, we have 2 tables available for 2 groups of people. Groups are limited to 6 people. You cannot stand alone or stand in a group away from your table. You cannot join another group other than your own for any period of time. We expect you to not interact with the line on the sidewalk.

ENTERING THE BUILDING

All guests are encouraged to share their names and contact information for our records. Temperature checks at The Coug are optional and available by request. If you have a fever or show any sign of illness, you will not be allowed in the building or on our terrace.

All staff are required to wear masks. Whitman County Health Department REQUIRES EVERYONE wear cloth masks when away from their table. Whitman County Health advises all customers wear cloth face coverings when arriving/leaving their tables, and using the restroom. Plastic dividers have been placed around tables.

ORDERING SOCIALLY DISTANT

While we social distance, this is a great time to start buying rounds for your tables. The entire group does not need to get up and get in line. One person at a time is ideal. We have marked with tape inside, temporarily, where individuals are expected to wait.

We have contactless options for our food/beer menus. Food can be ordered digitally, as well.

Refer to Dine In & Tableside or Carryout & Delivery for our expectations and procedures.

RESPECTING SOCIAL DISTANCE

The Coug cannot control what people do on public property like the sidewalk. We do ask that everyone please do their best to maintain social distancing between groups. If we notice you are in line and not respecting social distance between groups, we will not allow you in.

As we work to enforce policies inside the building, we ask for the same respect. We will ask you to leave if you do not comply.

TEMPORARY CHANGES

We expect that you will not move from table to table or interact with groups that are not your own.

This is a TEMPORARY change to our culture. Not being able to jump between tables, make new friends, or just say hi goes against everything the Coug is. But these rules allow us to stay open. These policies protect the health and safety of our staff and customers.

ENJOYING THE COUG AWAY FROM THE COUG

If you still want to maintain distance outside of the Coug, we have carryout and curbside options for food and drinks. Cougaritas, Quick and Shirleys, Trash Cans, Growlers, Corn Dogs, Tots, Burgers, and more are all available to-go.

Call (509) 332-1265 for phone orders or questions during operating hours. Open 11:00 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday thru Saturday. Any closures will be noted on our social media.
